Can You Do a Private Tsukiji and Asakusa Food Tour in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report

The tour was originally scheduled for August 1, but the flight was canceled and it was rescheduled to August 2. The guests were visitors from North America, joining the tour together. They usually travel with the rest of their family, but this year they traveled together for the first time. After staying in Japan for a few days, they planned to continue to another destination in Asia. The heat and humidity left them feeling quite tired. Both guests were polite and earnest. Since the itinerary had been decided by someone else in their family, I could not be sure whether these were places they truly wanted to visit. At Tsukiji, they enjoyed eating sushi, tuna sashimi at a specialty tuna shop, wagyu beef, and matcha ice cream. One of the guests purchased matcha as a gift. Since neither of them was especially interested in anime and we had time, we also stopped by Asakusa. As they were scheduled to join another tour starting at 5:00, I told them the location and we parted ways.
