What Is a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan from North America, and I guided them according to the requests I had confirmed in advance.
The weather was unfortunately rainy at times, with heavy showers, so we paused to take shelter along the way. This meant we ran slightly over schedule, but we were able to visit all the planned spots.
They were interested in Japanese culture and history, and they asked many questions about the emperor, the shogun, religion, and related topics.
The travel agency had requested that I take them somewhere to enjoy delicious Japanese food for lunch, but the guests felt it would be a waste of time to spend it on a meal, so they simply had light snacks bought at a convenience store and we continued the tour.
They were a very pleasant and friendly group.

Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.

Pleasant Intro to Tokyo
Nobu was an experienced and informative guide. It was a great introduction to Tokyo – a busy and vastly interesting city. We learned about Japanese history and toured some of the major sites including the Imperial gardens, a Buddhist temple, a Shinto shrine, and the bustling Shibuya Crossing. Nobu helped us get familiar with the subway system and explained some of Japanese cuisine. We greatly enjoyed our tour and recommend it to others!
