What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report

Last week, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided a group visiting Japan from North America, who came to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, then took a day trip to Kyoto by bullet train before returning to Tokyo, with a departure planned for the following day. Today was their final day of sightseeing in Tokyo. I guided the group following an itinerary that had been planned in advance. Although it rained throughout the day, the guests showed great interest in the proper way to worship at Meiji Shrine, wrote their wishes on ema votive tablets, and purchased a goshuin seal. Despite the observation deck of Tokyo Skytree having almost zero visibility due to the poor weather, the guests strongly wished to go up to the observation gallery and enjoyed the view of the ground below from the Glass Floor.
