Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Tokyo began at 11:30, when the guide met the guests at @ Hotel, and finished at 17:30. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish. It included lunch @ Tsukiji Market Food Court at 12:30.
From there the group visited Shibuya Crossing at 11:45, Ginza (Mitsukoshi, Itoya) at 14:00, Meiji Shrine at 15:30 and Harajuku at 17:00.

The guests were a group visiting from North America. At Tsukiji they enjoyed sashimi and strawberry daifuku, and were delighted, saying that all Japanese food was delicious. They also had ramen at a food court afterward.
In Ginza, we visited the basement food floor of a department store and a stationery store. They loved the stationery store so much that they said they would like to return and take their time there again.
Although it rained that day, they seemed to enjoy the stroll through Meiji Shrine.
At UNIQLO, they took their time looking at T-shirts and made purchases, then we strolled along Takeshita Street and Omotesando.
Since they were heading to Hakone the next day, I helped them purchase Shinkansen tickets at Harajuku Station before we said goodbye.

Tour of Tokyo- family with older teens
My family had an excellent tour around Tokyo with Rumi as two adults and two older teenagers. Rumi met us at our hotel and dropped us back there afterwards, which was really helpful as we were struggling with Shinjuku station. She was knowledgeable in the fish market and suggested food we might want to try from the best stalls. She showed us a great place for lunch where the kids enjoyed katsu curry. Rumi was very kind at the temple, showing us how to test our luck and providing offerings as well as walking us around the streets to buy souvenirs. She also helped with printing train tickets, checked up on us after an earthquake and sent through photos she had taken, none of which she had to do- she really went above and beyond expectations and made our first day in Japan a day to remember.
