What's a Private Tokyo Sightseeing and Food Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from North America, visiting Japan for the first time to combine sightseeing with attending a professional conference. After Tokyo, the guests planned to visit Kyoto and Osaka as well, and one of them, who had previously hosted Japanese homestay guests back home, was planning to travel to Kawagoe and Nikko together with a Japanese friend they had come to know.

At the basement food hall of a department store, the guests exclaimed in admiration at the wide variety of bento boxes. For lunch, we had tempura soba at a long-established restaurant in Asakusa, and they finished their meals with great satisfaction. The guests had reservations for a Shinjuku food tour and teamLab Planets, but since they also wanted recommendations for other places to eat, I introduced several restaurants serving eel, sukiyaki, and yakiniku.
