Title: What's a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Tokyo Tower, and Shinjuku

The guests were visitors from North America, staying in Tokyo for a short trip. Beforehand, they had requested the Tsukiji fish market, so I confirmed whether they wanted to visit the Tsukiji Outer Market or Toyosu Market, and since the Tsukiji Outer Market was fine, we began the tour. It was a morning visit and they were not hungry, but as they looked around they became interested and mentioned they might come back another day for breakfast. We went to Tokyo Tower by way of Zojoji Temple and visited both the Main Deck and the Top Deck. They were impressed by how much greenery there is in Tokyo. Since they enjoy walking and wanted to see as much as possible, I added extra stops, and we passed through Shiba Park on the way to the station. From Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station, we headed to the Sendagaya Gate of Shinjuku Gyoen. We visited the Japanese garden and made our way to the Shinjuku Gate. They were surprised that such a huge garden exists in the heart of the city. After that, we had lunch at Isetan. Following lunch, we went to Golden Gai by way of Hanazono Shrine. After visiting Kabukicho and Kabukicho Tower, we arrived at Shinjuku Station. Since they had another tour in the evening, I recommended visiting the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and Shinjuku Central Park until then, and we parted ways. It was a long walk of over 25,000 steps in total. I hope they enjoyed their short stay.

Hello, I’m Miho Ozawa, and I’ve been working as a government licenced guide interpreter for six years in Tokyo. I live in east Tokyo with my family, including my three children, and I love art, gardens, photography and traveling.
It’s such a pleasure to explore this fascinating city Tokyo with you. There are so many things you can do, although sometimes it’s hard to choose what to do within a limited time. I would really appreciate if you could let me know what you would like to do or where you would like to visit in Tokyo. I would be happy to help you plan to make your trip a memorable one. I’m forward to hearing from you and meeting you soon!
