What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, and Asakusa

The guests were visitors from North America. It was their first visit to Japan, and they had a strong interest in Japanese culture and history.

They mentioned that the guest room in their home is decorated in a Japanese style, and they were looking forward to buying new Japanese-style items as souvenirs during their stay.

At our first stop, Meiji Shrine, the guests paid close attention to Shinto etiquette, eagerly asking about how to pass through the torii gate and the proper way to worship.

On Takeshita Street, one of the guests tried a strawberry candy (ichigo ame) and praised it as delicious.

For lunch in Asakusa we had ramen, which the guests said was the best ramen they had ever eaten.

The plan was to finish in Shibuya, but since the guests had a reservation at a sushi restaurant in Shimbashi at 18:00, they wished to return to their hotel first. I therefore shared a map of Shibuya and its highlights, escorted the guests to their hotel, and we said our goodbyes.

The guests showed great respect for a different culture and had a truly wonderful character.
