Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Tokyo began at 10:00, when the guide met the guests at @Sunroute Plaza, and finished at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish. It included lunch Fukuras at 13:00.
From there the group visited Asakusa at 11:30, Shibuya at 14:00 and Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street at 14:45.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shinjuku-sanchome to Asakusa by subway (280JPY); Asakusa to Shibuya by subway (260JPY); Shibuya to Harajuku by train (150JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 690JPY per person.

The guests were visitors from Europe. Apart from the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, they left the itinerary up to me, so I guided them around Shinjuku, where their hotel was located, as well as Asakusa, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya.
They had already toured the Kansai region and seemed to have a good grasp of how to use the trains and other basics. Kyoto had been extremely crowded during the Golden Week holiday period, and they said they had waited two hours to enter the Japan Pavilion at the Osaka Expo. In comparison, since the day of my guiding was a weekday, it was not so crowded, which they were pleased about. Asakusa was also considerably less crowded than the week before.
The guests loved taking photos, and while they were shooting, they were so focused that it felt like you shouldn't interrupt them (laughs). Since they planned to go shopping on their own after the tour, we hardly stopped at any shops, but they took a liking to a folding fan shop in the Nakamise shopping street in Asakusa and made a purchase there. According to the shop staff, the store has been in business for 140 years, and the fans are made by the shop's own craftspeople. It is an authentic shop within Nakamise, so I recommend it.
The guests had researched many things on their own and said they planned to visit Hakone and Nikko in the future. They mentioned that this trip alone did not give them enough days, so I would be delighted if they came to Japan again.

Tokyo Walking Tour
We did a six-hour walking tour of Tokyo with Yoko and she was an exceptional guide. We saw multiple shrines (Meiji Shrine is a must see), the Imperial Palace, the “crossing” (there is a similar intersection in the Ginza shopping district which was also cool), the Tokyo Station, and the outer market where we ordered some fatty toro nigiri which was an etherial experience. Can’t say enough good things about Yoko. She taught ys a ton about the history of Japan and had a great sense of humor. A+

Fantastic day exploring Tokyo
This was our first time visiting Tokyo and spending a day with Yoko as our guide was perhaps the best decision we could have made. Even before we arrived we traded messages with Yoko about what we might like to do. She offered valuable tips which made not only our time in Tokyo more efficient but while in Japan as a whole. We saw so many amazing things but Yoko also gave us a primer in using the Tokyo subway system and navigating some of the stations. I could go on and list all the things we did but each tour will be different. However I would highly recommend Yoko as a guide. Perhaps serendipitous, but we were stopped on the street the day after we toured with Yoko by a couple who had a list of things to do but was unsure how to go about doing the things on their list and where those things were located. I was thankful we chose the best guide so we didn’t have that problem.
