Over the course of the day the route took in Sensouji Temple at 9:30, Ginza at 11:05, the Imperial Palace at 11:30, Takeshita Street at 13:00, Meiji Jingu at 13:35 and Shibuya at 14:10.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Ryogoku to Asakusa by train (330JPY); Asakusa to Ginza by train (290JPY); Nijubashimae to Omotesando by train (180JPY); Harajuku to Shibuya by train (150JPY). Across 4 sections the fare came to 950JPY per person.
What Does a Full-Day Private Tokyo Walking Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They were very friendly, listened attentively, and asked many questions. Along with a wide range of topics such as Japanese history, culture, food, customs, politics, and the Imperial Family, they were delighted with information about the Ryogoku Kokugikan sumo hall near their hotel, Yasuda Garden, river cruises on the Sumida River, recommended sightseeing spots in Tokyo and Hakone, and various other tips. In particular, they were very pleased with the information about using luggage delivery services, which they found extremely convenient.
Although the itinerary was packed with many destinations including Asakusa, Ginza, the Imperial Palace, Omotesando, Takeshita Street, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya, the guests walked energetically throughout, and it made for a smooth tour.

I live with my husband and a dog named Alice. She was a rescue dog and I adopted her about 4 years ago. Now she is a very precious family member. I have two daughters, the elder one has a child and the younger has a aroma shop in a town near Mr. Fuji. I sometimes visit there with Alice.

We had an amazing experience on this tour and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Japan. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made everything easy to understand while sharing so much interesting history and local insight. She took us to a variety of places we wouldn’t have found on our own and made sure we were comfortable the entire time.
This tour is perfect for first-time visitors—it really helps you get familiar with the area, culture, and transportation without feeling overwhelmed. Everything was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

Our guide Motoko was so polite & engaging. She customised the tour around things we enjoy and took us to a traditional Japanese restaurant for lunch which we would never have found.
We only had a couple of days in Tokyo so wanted to make the most of it. I would highly recommend this tour & Motoko if you are in the same position.
