Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Europe, some of whom had visited Japan before in 2012 and some of whom were visiting Japan for the first time. Advance communication had been arranged through a travel agency, with a request to see Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Akihabara. At the meeting point, I reconfirmed the itinerary with the group and we began the tour. After guiding them through Senso-ji Temple and the Nakamise shopping street, the guests purchased a one-day common pass for the Toei and Metro lines. We then visited the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji Market, Meiji Shrine, and Akihabara. During our travels, in response to requests along the way, I provided information via a messaging app about Hamarikyu Gardens, Pokemon-related spots, and purchasing Suica cards. Since the group had arrived in Japan only the previous night, the first day must have been tiring for them. We parted ways with smiles at the Asakusa-bound ticket gate of Suehirocho Station in Akihabara.

Wonderful tour of the highlights of Tokyo
Tachi was our guide. What a wonderful experience. She communicated very effectively before our departure to plan a very nice tour around the city. On the day of departure, it was raining very heavily in Tokyo and we considered rescheduling, but went ahead anyway. She met us at our hotel just as planned and set out on a very nice tour that visited all the sites we wanted to see. We used the subway system to move about the city. We we very happy with the tour and would book with her again in the future if we return to Tokyo. Hint: download PASMO to your phone to pay for subway rides.
