Title: What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Tour of Tsukiji, Asakusa, and the Imperial Palace East Gardens? A Licensed Guide's Report

At Tsukiji, the guests enjoyed eating large rice crackers and other snacks, and bought Japanese-style tableware and beans, clearly having a wonderful time. In Asakusa, they first admired the Sumida River from Azuma Bridge and were surprised to see that the Asahi Beer headquarters is shaped like a beer mug. After enjoying sushi together, they visited Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise-dori, Denboin-dori, and Senso-ji Temple, taking many photos everywhere they went. At the Imperial Palace East Gardens, although it was a little windy, the guests were able to take a pleasant stroll while enjoying the very comfortable weather. The azaleas were just beginning to bloom, and while talking about how they would surely be in full bloom by the time of our next tour together on April 20, the guests took many photos and seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.

Hello, I’m Masaaki Kurata. I have been conducting walking tours in Asakusa, Ueno, Yanaka and the East Garden of Imperial Palace since I joined an English guide volunteer club in 2016. I worked for 2 U.S. based companies in Tokyo for 41 years and retired in 2023. I developed good communication skills with people from other countries in my long career in those 2 companies. I was born in the suburb of Tokyo and I’m familiar with Tokyo pretty much. Since I retired and do not work for a company any longer, I can be flexible in making itineraries. I really want to make tourists happy by making fun and interesting communication.
