What's a Rainy-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace East Gardens, Asakusa, and Skytree

It was a tour on a rainy and cold day from the morning. At the guests' request, we first went to the Imperial Palace East Gardens. Perhaps because it was early in the morning and raining, it was quiet. Many of the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and very beautiful, and the guests took photos. Some of the guests were fine with being photographed, while others preferred not to be. The guests seemed interested in the buildings of the Imperial Palace, the stone walls, and their history. After that, we went to Asakusa, visited Senso-ji Temple and the five-story pagoda, and the guests purchased ukiyo-e prints at the Nakamise shopping street, as they were interested in art. For lunch, they enjoyed conveyor-belt sushi, and afterward we walked to Sumida Park on the Sumida Ward side to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Since they had reserved Tokyo Skytree tickets for 14:30, we went together to the Skytree entrance and ended the tour there. Although the weather was not good, I think the cherry blossoms were wonderful.
