- 4. 12:40 Lunch @ Asakusa Gonpachi
- 5. 13:30 @ Asakusa (Azuma Bridge, Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Shopping Street, Hozomon Gate, Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Shrine, etc.)

What Is a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Asakusa
I met the guests at their hotel in Akasaka and first took them to Meiji Shrine. After that, we moved to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, and finally I took them to Asakusa. In Asakusa, we had lunch at a restaurant, and then we walked around to see Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Shopping Street, Hozomon Gate, the main hall of Senso-ji Temple, and the five-story pagoda. We enjoyed oshiruko at a shop on Nakamise Shopping Street before parting ways at Asakusa Station. The guests were very interested in Japanese history, culture, and current social affairs, so I explained a variety of topics such as the history of the Tokugawa shogunate and the Imperial family, modernization from the Meiji era onward, and recent social conditions since the collapse of the economic bubble, and they were very pleased.

We booked 2 tours with our guide Tak who was a wonderful guide. He picked us up at our hotel both days and took us around the city to see the major sites as we had reviewed and agreed upon beforehand. He was super helpful with various tips in regards to transit system and other things to see and visit. He was very interesting and insightful of all the sites we visited. We highly recommend this tour and Tak as a guide

Tak was fantastic to spend the day with seeing spectacular parts of Tokyo. Our 2 boys aged 7 and 5 loved spending their time with Tak and Tak’s storytelling and outlook will be memorable forever. Great way to start our holiday giving us the confidence to embrace Tokyo afterwards.
