What Can You See on a Private Full-Day Tour of Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group of four. It was a very hot day, with strong sunlight at times, so I offered them the parasol I had brought along. At the start, we confirmed the itinerary. When I explained that we would not go up Tokyo Skytree because it would take quite a long time, they asked if there was an alternative, so I described the Tokyo National Museum, and they agreed to visit it instead. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, I gave a full tour. When I explained that this was the castle that served as a model for "Shogun," the guests were very interested. They were surprised to learn that the castle keep had burned down three times. At the Tokyo National Museum, we toured the second floor and then the first floor. They were interested in the swords, armor, and costumes. I had reserved a sushi and tempura restaurant in Ueno as they had requested, and they enjoyed the meal, which was well received. At Ueno Toshogu Shrine, we paid 500 yen for admission. They were amazed that such an old structure remained and by its magnificent architecture. At Shinjuku Gyoen, we mainly toured the Japanese garden area, and then returned to the hotel. I received a tip.

Tripadvisor review: Tokyo Customized Private Tour in 1 Day with Licensed Guide
This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. We’re a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 16), and Koba was wonderfully kind, patient, and engaging with each of us. The experience started even before we arrived—his first communications laid out a thoughtful, customized itinerary that perfectly matched our interests as first-time visitors. Our six hours together were full, seamless, and incredibly rewarding. Koba’s deep knowledge of the city, his attention to detail, and his warm, easygoing approach made the tour an ideal fit for our family. It was the perfect way to get a broad yet meaningful introduction to Tokyo in a short time. We’re so grateful he was our guide and highly recommend him to anyone visiting the city.

Koba was so nice to my family and I. He was patient and helped carry a large toy my daughter won. I wished we had another day. Having a guide saved us hours of navigating the subway and metro.
