What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Shibuya, and Daikanyama
The guests were visitors from Europe who had arrived in Japan the day before. After Tokyo, they planned to visit Hakone, Kyoto, and other destinations, for a total stay of about eight days in Japan. One of the guests was visiting Japan for the first time, while another had visited once a long time ago but did not remember it very clearly.
The itinerary had been communicated by a local travel agency, and the plan was to see Meiji Shrine and Shibuya and finish at Daikanyama. Since there was some extra time, we also visited Takeshita Street in Harajuku. The rain was fairly heavy in the morning, but fortunately it eased to a light drizzle around the time we arrived at Meiji Shrine. The guests enjoyed each location while listening to explanations and taking photographs. As there was time to spare at Meiji Shrine, we also visited the inner garden, where the Japanese irises had just begun to bloom. Because the guests walked at a brisk pace, we arrived at Daikanyama a little earlier than scheduled. Although it was before the planned end time, we received their consent to conclude the tour, and we parted ways.

This tour was beyond expectations! Haru, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. I feel like I learned so much from him throughout the day! I loved that I was able to choose from so many different sightseeing options. I simply gave Haru my list of preferred places and he did the rest!
