Over the course of the day the route took in Tsukiji Fish Market at 9:30, Omotesando Street at 11:10, Takeshita Street at 11:30, Meiji Jingu Shrine at 12:10 and Shibuya crossing at 12:50.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shiodome to Tsukiji Market by train (180JPY); Tsukiji to Omotesando by train (180JPY); Harajuku to Shibuya by train (160JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 520JPY per person.
What Is a Private Tokyo Tour of Tsukiji, Harajuku, and Shibuya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
This tour was booked through a travel agency, but I was able to communicate directly with the guests via a messaging app the day before, which resulted in a change to the tour start time. Since the guests had already visited Kyoto, Osaka, and Kiso, we discussed their overall plans during their stay in Tokyo, and based on their wishes, today we visited Tsukiji, Harajuku, and Shibuya. As the guests both enjoy cooking, at Tsukiji they purchased knives, matcha, and dashi, and we had a lively conversation about cooking. I shared various shopping tips, including vintage shops around Omotesando. They were not particularly familiar with the differences between Shinto (shrines) and Buddhism (temples), but they listened carefully to my guiding and asked many questions.

I live with my husband and a dog named Alice. She was a rescue dog and I adopted her about 4 years ago. Now she is a very precious family member. I have two daughters, the elder one has a child and the younger has a aroma shop in a town near Mr. Fuji. I sometimes visit there with Alice.

We had an amazing experience on this tour and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Japan. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made everything easy to understand while sharing so much interesting history and local insight. She took us to a variety of places we wouldn’t have found on our own and made sure we were comfortable the entire time.
This tour is perfect for first-time visitors—it really helps you get familiar with the area, culture, and transportation without feeling overwhelmed. Everything was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

Our guide Motoko was so polite & engaging. She customised the tour around things we enjoy and took us to a traditional Japanese restaurant for lunch which we would never have found.
We only had a couple of days in Tokyo so wanted to make the most of it. I would highly recommend this tour & Motoko if you are in the same position.
