Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at hotel at 9:00, the group explored Tokyo until the tour ended at 15:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish.
The itinerary covered Tsukiji Outer Market at 9:30, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden at 12:30 and Meiji Shrine at 13:20.
What's a Private Tokyo Tour with Tsukiji, Shinjuku Gyoen, and Meiji Shrine Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a large group from Oceania on a private Tokyo tour, splitting the group into two with a fellow [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide based on a prior arrangement, and together we visited Tsukiji Outer Market, Shinjuku Gyoen, and Meiji Shrine. At Tsukiji Market first, the guests were very curious about the various foods and sampled many things, but because it was a large group, it took quite a lot of time.
To explain the difference between Shinto and Buddhism, we stopped by Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji Temple, and I explained the differences between them, their influence on Japanese culture, and the differences and meanings of the ways of worship at each. The guests seemed satisfied with the content, which was new to them.
At Shinjuku Gyoen, the cherry blossoms were nearly in full bloom, and the guests appeared very delighted with the spectacular scenery. By the time we reached the final stop at Meiji Shrine, some of the guests seemed tired, so we split into two groups: some headed to Takeshita Street, while the rest visited the shrine to worship. They had become quite accustomed to the manner of worship and did so in a solemn manner.
Because we had spent considerably more time than planned at Tsukiji at the start, the tour ended up running about one hour over.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
