What Is a Private Full-Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tokyo Tower, Hamarikyu, Nezu, and Takeshita Street

I guided a group visiting from Europe on a private full-day tour of Tokyo. Since they wished to see four specific locations and be taken all the way back to their hotel, they extended the tour by two hours, and even then we went over by about 20 minutes. As they did not have PASMO or similar IC cards, we purchased tickets at each station. They were friendly and enjoyed chatting, and one of them kept the jokes coming throughout the day. Because their walking pace was slower, I proceeded carefully and suggested rest breaks along the way. The chosen locations were somewhat far apart, so travel took a bit of time, but they said they enjoyed seeing the many different cityscapes of Tokyo. For lunch they wanted something light, and at the food court in Tokyo Tower they shared a set of sandwiches, fries, and drinks. One of the guests loves animals and showed great interest in the herons, ducks, and cormorants (?) at Hamarikyu, the cats around Nezu, and the turtles and carp at Nezu Shrine. They were also delighted with Takeshita Street, which they found a fascinating place. When we parted ways in front of the hotel, they thanked me and said it had been a wonderful tour. They also told me about an app called "big" that can be used as a whiteboard, which I plan to try using in my work.
