- 2) 10:00 Meiji Shrine
- 3) 10:40 Roppongi (The National Art Center → Roppongi Hills)
- 4) 11:20 Tokyo Tower (exterior only)
- 5) 12:20 East Gardens
- 6) 13:30 Asakusa <Kannon-dori・Retro-dori・Senso-ji Temple>
- 7) 13:40 Disband @ Yohei (2-2-7 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo)
Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided the group visiting from Europe. After I proposed an itinerary through pre-tour contact, communication paused for a while, but we managed to reconnect just before the tour, and they requested "somewhere other than Shibuya." At the meeting point on the day, it turned out that some of the party who had been expected to join would not be participating, so the tour proceeded with the guests (plus the guide). I re-presented the itinerary, the guests agreed, and the tour began. They had already been in Japan for a week, having explored the Kurobe Dam and Shirakawa-go in Toyama, Hakone, and Kamakura (five temples and shrines!). In Tokyo, they had also booked a samurai restaurant show in Shinjuku and a sumo stable visit tour. I shared recommendations for restaurants and shops in Tsukiji and Ginza via a messaging app. Meanwhile, I smoothly guided them through Meiji Shrine, Roppongi, Tokyo Tower (exterior only), and the East Gardens, arriving in Asakusa at 13:30. As the temperature and humidity rose, the guests were getting a bit tired. After showing them the temple grounds via a shortcut, they said they wanted to take an air-conditioned break somewhere, so I guided them to a Japanese-style café on the grounds, and we parted ways with smiles.

Wonderful tour of the highlights of Tokyo
Tachi was our guide. What a wonderful experience. She communicated very effectively before our departure to plan a very nice tour around the city. On the day of departure, it was raining very heavily in Tokyo and we considered rescheduling, but went ahead anyway. She met us at our hotel just as planned and set out on a very nice tour that visited all the sites we wanted to see. We used the subway system to move about the city. We we very happy with the tour and would book with her again in the future if we return to Tokyo. Hint: download PASMO to your phone to pay for subway rides.
