What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya

The guests were a group visiting from Europe. They had arrived just the night before, and this was their first day in Tokyo.

First, I guided them around the Shinjuku Golden Gai area near their hotel so they could get a sense of the location, and then took them to the Tsukiji Outer Market, where we walked around while I explained the history and culture of the Tsukiji market. They love seafood and said they would like to come back another day.

At Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji Temple, I explained the differences between Buddhism and Shinto, the influence each has had on Japanese culture, and the differences in worship, allowing them to experience it firsthand while seeing the actual sites.

We then headed to Meiji Shrine, where I again explained the influence of Shinto, which is unique to Japan. They seemed to greatly enjoy the solemn atmosphere.

Our final stop was Shibuya. Since they wanted ramen for lunch, I introduced them to the famous shop "Ichiran." As they had a reservation at teamLab in the evening, I explained how to get there and then concluded the tour.

Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.
