Title: What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like for a Family Visiting Shibuya and Meiji Shrine? A Licensed Guide's Report

I guided a group from North America who were visiting Japan. Their request was to visit at least one historical or educational site and one fun spot. Since one of the guests wanted to go to the Pokémon and Nintendo stores, we headed to Shibuya. Because we arrived before the 11:00 opening, we stopped by a 24-hour discount store, where the guests found many things they wanted and enjoyed shopping. At the long-awaited PARCO, their eyes lit up, and they shopped at the Pokémon Center, appearing very satisfied. When I talked about history at Meiji Shrine, they said it connected with what the previous day's guide had told them. When I asked if they wanted to stop by a souvenir shop, they said they wanted ice cream, so we took a break at a café. I had planned to take the Yamanote Line from Shibuya to Meiji Shrine, but the Hachiko Bus that they had found on Google Maps happened to be stopped right in front of the department store, so we took it and were able to travel comfortably for 100 yen.
