What Is a Private Asakusa and Yanaka Food Walking Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. After Asakusa, they wanted to go to Yanaka and enjoy a variety of small foods rather than sitting down at a restaurant. Unfortunately it was rainy, but they did not seem to mind the rain much and appeared to enjoy the tour. In Asakusa, they drew an omikuji fortune and bought ningyo-yaki, and in Yanaka they purchased wasabi-flavored olive oil at an olive shop, and enjoyed taiyaki and rice crackers in Nezu, saying they were delicious. We were also able to get into a coffee shop that is usually too crowded to enter, where they had a matcha latte and an egg sandwich, and one of the guests said it was the best matcha latte they had ever had. They also said Nezu Shrine was very beautiful. At Yanaka Ginza, they had a Yanaka croquette and said it was delicious. After that, they wanted to explore the Yanaka area on their own, so we parted ways at Yanaka Ginza. Even though it was rainy, they were wonderful guests who could enjoy anything.
