Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku at 9:00, the group explored Tokyo until the tour ended at 14:00. The day ran to 5 hours from start to finish.
The itinerary covered Asakusa (took photos of Skytree) at 10:00, Imperial Palace East Gardens at 11:30 and Meiji Shrine at 13:00.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report
It was a rainy day, but the guests toured with cheerful expressions throughout. We started after purchasing a 24-hour Tokyo Metro pass in Shinjuku. Since the guests were not in the best condition for walking and moved somewhat slowly, we used elevators and proceeded at a slower pace overall. In Asakusa, they enjoyed Nakamise shopping street and drawing omikuji fortunes. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, we entered through the rear gate and I guided them around the cherry blossom island and other spots. Although the weather was not good, they enjoyed taking photos and more. At Meiji Shrine, I explained about Shinto, and the guests became interested in Japanese religion. At a very slow pace, we went considerably over the four hours, but we saw them off at the Hotel to finish. Since they had bought the 24-hour pass, we had planned to use the Metro back to the Hotel, but because of their condition we returned to Shinjuku using the JR line instead. At the end, they gave me a Dodgers World Series Champion T-shirt.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of Japan and an expert in Japanese history and culture, and also in nursing and health. I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.
