What's a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like from Tsukiji to the Imperial Palace? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. The main purpose of this trip was to take part in the Tokyo Marathon. For that reason, one of the guests was under strict dietary management, while another had a strong interest in food. We did not have a meal during the tour, but I introduced Tsukiji Market and recommended several dining spots located along our route. Saying "This is important information," one of the guests checked the restaurant names and locations on their smartphone. At the Imperial Palace, we spotted foreign runners who appeared to have come to Japan for the same purpose, the Tokyo Marathon. One of the guests commented, "The sportswear that runner is wearing is from a certain event, and the one over there is from another event." In the latter half of the tour, the guests seemed a little tired due to jet lag. Wishing them the best of luck in the Tokyo Marathon, we said goodbye in front of a department store in Ginza near the Hotel.
