Tour Itinerary in Detail

The tour started at 11:00 at Hotel and ended at 15:10. The day ran to 4 hours and 10 minutes from start to finish.

Over the course of the day the route took in Nezu Shrine at 11:40, Meiji Shrine to Takeshita Street at 13:10 and Akihabara at 14:50.

Travel between the sites was by public transport: Oshiage to Nezu by train (600JPY); Nezu to Meiji-jingumae by train (0JPY); Meiji-jingumae to Akihabara by train (0JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 600JPY per person.

The weather was fairly good, and the tour proceeded smoothly. The guests had a Welcome Suica card, so they were able to move around easily without the hassle of buying tickets. At Nezu Shrine, a local town festival was taking place, which seemed to be of great interest. At Meiji Shrine, there were a wedding procession and families celebrating Shichi-Go-San, and I gave explanations about them. The guests asked about religion, Japanese festivals, and the proper timing for praying at shrines. On Takeshita Street, some of the guests showed interest in shopping but ended up mostly browsing, and appeared to have a good time. Finally, from Akihabara on the Hibiya Line, we passed in front of the Radio Kaikan building and I guided them to a street where there were many maid café touts, which brought the tour to a close.

Please call me Koba.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of Japan and an expert in Japanese history and culture, and also in nursing and health. I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.
