What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Day Tour of Asakusa, Akihabara, and Meiji Shrine? A Licensed Guide's Report

The weather was decent, though it turned hot with strong sunshine from early afternoon. After meeting the guests at the Hotel, I helped them install a Welcome Suica, and we started the tour. In Asakusa, after seeing the main sights, the guests mentioned they wanted to try purple sweet potato ice cream from a shop they had seen on social media, so I took them there. They were delighted. In Akihabara, we browsed various shops but did not make any purchases. The plan was to finish after guiding them along Takeshita Street in Harajuku, but they requested to see the back streets of Harajuku, and further asked to be taken to Meiji Shrine, so I changed the itinerary. Despite the heat, perhaps because it was an auspicious day, there was a wedding procession, which the guests were very happy to see. The tour ended near the shrine entrance. I received a tip.
