Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Takayama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Because there had not been enough opportunity to discuss the course in advance, I confirmed the guests' wishes on the way to the nearby Takayama Jinya first thing in the morning. During that conversation, I learned that they had already visited many temples in places such as Kyoto, and that they had an interest in Japanese food samples. At the Miyagawa Morning Market they enjoyed some coffee, and afterwards I introduced the Kusakabe Folk Museum as we headed toward Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine. At the shrine I also introduced the Festival Float Exhibition Hall and, as with the Kusakabe residence earlier, confirmed whether they wished to enter, but there was no clear preference. After that, we strolled through the Higashiyama temple district and I suggested visiting the Takumikan, which offers high-quality wooden products, as well as the Iwasaki Sample Village. Given their experience in Kyoto, they chose the latter and seemed to enjoy the visit very much. Since they mentioned they planned to go to Hida no Sato in the afternoon, I introduced a local cuisine restaurant near the taxi stand before we parted ways.
