The guests were a group with diverse cultural backgrounds, coming from the Middle East, North America, and Asia, so their taste preferences varied, which made the experience enjoyable. Some of the guests took a liking to miso soup and amazake. Everyone was very talkative and willing to try many kinds of food, which made it rewarding to introduce different dishes. The group also enjoyed shopping for souvenirs, so it turned into a fairly relaxed tour. Some of the guests were knowledgeable about Japanese whisky, and the flavor of Japanese sake seemed to suit them as well, with the group enjoying many tastings.

Our morning tour around the old centre of Takayama with Annie was excellent. She is a great guide, and whilst we had selected the places we wanted to visit, she organised the route so that we would see as much as possible in the time allowed. Very friendly and extremely informative .
