Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at Mercure Takayama at 9:00, the group explored Gifu until the tour ended at 13:00. The day ran to 4 hours from start to finish.
The itinerary covered Takayama Morning Market at 9:20, Sanmachi Old Town Streets at 9:45, Takayama Jinya at 10:20, Kusakabe Folk Museum at 11:40, Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall at 12:10 and Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine at 12:45.

The guests were a group visiting from Oceania and Europe. They were especially interested in Japanese culture and asked a wide variety of questions. They did not seem to be as interested in history. At the morning market, they were delighted to purchase seasonal Shine Muscat grapes. They also showed interest in chestnut products. One of the guests was looking for a folding fan with a painting of Mount Fuji, but did not find one they liked, so I suggested looking for one in Kyoto, which they would visit next. At the end, I guided them to a Takayama ramen restaurant, and the tour concluded.

Excellent guide and support
Kuni-san was an excellent guide and very friendly and knowledgable. Kuni-san greatly assisted with meeting one of our family member medical needs on the day and was very helpful in supporting us and changing the itinerary and assisting our family member.
I would HIGHLY recommend Kuni-san as a guide and this tour defintely met our needs as a group of 4.

Kuni was amazing as our private tour guide! Before the tour, he reached out to ask about the specific itinerary we wanted to do. He took into consideration all of our thoughts. The tour was amazing. He was very informative and it was very special to see all of the sites. Would recommend highly!
