What Is a Private Cruise Port Tour in Kitakyushu Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

According to the Kitakyushu City website, the meeting time specified by the guests was set before the ship's arrival, so I confirmed with the guests in advance, but in the end the tour started 45 minutes later than the scheduled meeting time. Cruise ships sometimes have their arrival times changed at the last minute, and while travel companies handling group tours seem to receive advance notice, this is not reflected on the website, which means individual private guides cannot know until they arrive on site — a persistent source of concern.

The weather was unfortunately cloudy. The guests gave generous applause to an unexpected live jazz performance, and they seemed interested in the explanations of the leading lights unique to the strait and the tidal current tower.
