From there the group visited Akama Shrine at 10:30, Kanmon Tunnel Pedestrian Walkway at 11:45, Chofu Mori Residence at 13:45, Kozan-ji Temple at 14:30 and Choshu Dejima at 16:00.
A Private Tour Report Near the Kanmon Strait: What Are the Challenges of Guiding Cruise Ship Passengers?
During the tour, another traveler took the taxi we had reserved, so it took time to arrange transportation again. When a cruise ship brings more than 3,000 passengers, arranging taxis in this area becomes difficult.
Within the group, there were guests ranging from those who had previously lived in Japan to those visiting Japan for the first time, so the questions covered a wide range of topics. They showed great interest not only in information about tourist sites but also in Japanese culture and politics.
They were surprised to learn that the Kanmon Strait has several undersea tunnels for cars, trains, the Shinkansen, and pedestrians.

If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture and ambience, take this tour! Visited cultural gems, experienced a traditional Japanese lunch, visited the interior of a grand mansion and gardens, and then sat in the serenity of that garden with marcha. Our guide Suzy was well versed and gracious. It was a relaxing way to experience Japanese culture.
