Could You Do a Private Walking Tour of Shimonoseki and Chofu? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were interested in the legends of Emperor Antoku and Hoichi the Earless.
The guests had eaten sushi and tempura before, but they were interested to experience dishes served in small bowls for the first time.
At the Chofu Mori Garden, the guests enjoyed a matcha tea experience and were able to spend a quiet time with no other visitors around.
In Chofu, the guests said they would like to see more old, temple-like buildings.
The guests walked at a slower pace and seemed to find steps and taking shoes on and off a little difficult.
Perhaps because there were many cruise ship tourists, it took a little time to catch a taxi at one location.

If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture and ambience, take this tour! Visited cultural gems, experienced a traditional Japanese lunch, visited the interior of a grand mansion and gardens, and then sat in the serenity of that garden with marcha. Our guide Suzy was well versed and gracious. It was a relaxing way to experience Japanese culture.
