**Title:** What's a Private One-Day Sapporo Tour with a Maruyama Hike Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Through a series of email exchanges, I listened carefully to the guests' wishes and built the itinerary together with them. As a result, we added a climb of Mount Maruyama to the itinerary, something I had rarely done with previous guests. Mount Maruyama, inspired by the 88-temple pilgrimage of Shikoku, has 88 Jizo Buddhist statues placed along its trail, offering not only untouched nature but also a chance to enjoy Japanese religious culture, which I thought was a good choice for guests interested in history and culture. Since the point where we descended from Mount Maruyama happened to be right by Maruyama Zoo, the guests wished to enter it, even though it had not been part of the original plan. We ended up enjoying the zoo so much that we went a little over on time, and I believe we spent a fulfilling one-day tour together.

Super Sapporo in April with Tom.
Tom was kind enough to meet at our hotel to start the tour and then sat with us to make sure we saw the best of Sapporo that was available to us on the day. We even managed some Cherry Blossom which was an unexpected bonus.
Tom ensured we got to Sapporos highest view away from any crowds and navigated our route brilliantly. He left us at the Sapporo Brewery for us to drink and eat in our own time. We wish Tom sincere thanks for a great day in Sapporo.

We had a wonderful city tour with Tom in Sapporo! He was very knowledgeable about Hokkaido’s history and culture and had a lot of great stories to share. He was extremely friendly and patient as well. Highly recommend booking a tour with Tom if you want to see Sapporo’s highlights in a day! He also does tours further out of Sapporo city center.
