Title: What Can You See on a Private Yoichi and Otaru Day Tour in Hokkaido? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were friends visiting from Europe and Asia. In our communications beforehand, they had asked to avoid crowded tourist spots and mentioned they were not interested in the Nikka Whisky Yoichi distillery, so I guided them to the Fukuhara Fishery, a former herring fishing station. They were very interested and asked the staff many questions. The weather was fine, and they greatly enjoyed the coastal drive along Yoichi and sights such as Ebisu Rock. For lunch, we went to a local ramen shop in a residential area away from the tourist spots, the kind of place frequented by locals. In Otaru, they admired Mount Tengu and the beautiful floral water basin (hanachozu) at Sumiyoshi Shrine, where mountain cherry blossoms were still in bloom, so they took many photos and offered their prayers. None of the places were crowded, so they could enjoy everything at a relaxed pace and were very satisfied. They told me they were truly glad to have had me as their guide.
