What Is a Private One-Day Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Shitennoji, and Dotonbori

The guests were a group traveling around various parts of Japan, with Osaka as their final destination. One of the guests appeared to have injured a foot earlier during the trip and wanted to avoid stairs as much as possible. Walking and searching for elevators in the subway took extra time, but at Osaka Castle we skipped the electric car and moved around while taking photos of the cherry blossoms. Many of the trees were nearly in full bloom, and the guests were delighted, saying they felt lucky since the admission fee was 600 yen only until today and the cherry blossoms were so beautiful. Inside the castle grounds, they also came across two wedding parties and quietly took photos. We photographed Shitennoji Temple from the outside, and they rang the bell to honor their ancestors. They really liked a nearby okonomiyaki restaurant, saying they had wanted to eat okonomiyaki in Hiroshima but gave up because it was too crowded, so they were glad to enjoy it in Osaka instead. At Dotonbori, one of the guests, who had seemed rather cool and reserved, was the one who posed for a photo doing the Glico pose. I saw them back to their hotel, and we parted ways there.

Hi! I’m an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. I’m also a national guide as well. I’d like to expand my guide area to help tourists.
The town of Osaka offers a different atmosphere than Tokyo. I like both exciting Osaka and nature-filled Wakayama Prefecture.
If you stay in Osaka for 3 days, you can go to Koyasan for one day, or even for a day trip, so I recommend sightseeing at Koyasan.
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city, the nature of Koyasan will relax you.
I will introduce you to the unique culture, history and must-see sights.
