What Can You See on a Private Day Tour of Osaka and Sakai? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group from Europe who arrived at Kansai International Airport the day before. In Dotonbori, at Ukiyo Koji, they looked at photographs of Namba and Dotonbori that had been reduced to scorched fields by air raids during the war, and they were impressed by Japan's postwar recovery and resilience. At the Nintoku Emperor's Tomb and the Sakai City Museum, they were struck by the scale of the burial mound and by the power and technical skill of the ancient Japanese kings. They also spoke about the importance of preserving heritage sites around the world, including ruins in Europe. At Osaka Castle, they listed the names of Warring States period commanders and confirmed the relationships among Oda Nobunaga, Akechi Mitsuhide, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Hideyori, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and others.

He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
