What's a Private Walking Tour of Osaka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Shitennoji, and Namba
The guests were visitors from North America. Following advice from a friend who had visited Japan before, they had hoped to see Osaka Castle, Shitennoji Temple, Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, and Dotonbori, but since they had already visited Dotonbori the previous day, we changed the plan to Namba Yasaka Shrine and Doguyasuji, exploring the streets of Osaka under a cloudless sky. One of the guests enjoyed the travel itself — walking, riding the subway, and taking the tram — while another, who loved photography, was delighted with the photos of them taken at each spot. I received a long thank-you message saying it had been "the best day," which gave me great joy as a guide. The following day, the guests planned to enjoy the Umeda Sky Building, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, and Kobe beef.

Sachiko was our tour guide and she is one of the best we have had. Not only did she show us Osaka in the rain, she went above and stayed with us 45 minutes past the tour time to make sure she brought us back to our hotel and taught us the trains to take and the restaurants around. We highly appreciate her.

I enjoyed seeing Osaka through Sachiko’s eyes and experience. She showed me what was special about Osaka, answered my numerous questions about life in this city and in Japan. Sachiko or Choko Ogura is a fantastic guide who not only explained the importance but also the backgrounds and histories in details of the locations we visited.
She is extremely proficient in English but is lovely lady with very helpful and pleasant nature. She guided us about what to do and what not to do.
