Title: What's a Private Osaka Food-Walking Tour Before a Baseball Game Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America who wanted to watch a professional baseball game at the Osaka Dome, so the tour was set up with an irregular meeting time of 15:45. I had sent them a suggested route in advance covering Namba Yasaka Shrine and Tsutenkaku, but since they did not want sightseeing and preferred to enjoy food-walking instead, I promptly changed the plan as described above.
Since the guests needed to return to Kyoto by 19:00, we cut our stroll through the Tenroku shopping street short, headed back to Osaka Station, and I saw them off after helping them board a special rapid train on the Kyoto Line.
I had been communicating with a travel agency rather than directly with the guests, and there were various miscommunications along the way.

Andy(Atsushi) was great and communicated with us beforehand about our itinerary. He was flexible with changes we requested. Andy was very informative during the tour. He also was willing to take our family’s pictures. We were able to stop and check out shops as we pleased along the way. He also accommodated lunch requests(as our daughter has food allergies).
One thing I wish we realized was that there is quite a bit of walking. We were fine but for people who are perhaps older or with young children you may want to consider taking a cab between different sites.
