What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Kuromon Market, and Dotonbori
Today I guided a group visiting from Europe on a private tour of Osaka. The guests mentioned they would be traveling for two weeks, visiting Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto, Naoshima, Osaka, and Kamakura. Because we started early, Osaka Castle was not too crowded, and we were able to see it at a relaxed pace, which was wonderful. It was also cloudy today, so it was not too hot and remained comfortable. The guests wanted to visit a Japanese-style coffee shop near Kuromon Market, so we enjoyed coffee at a local coffee shop. Afterwards, we went to Dotonbori, where I recommended several popular restaurants, and I also took them to Hozenji Yokocho. I believe they enjoyed themselves.

We spent half a day with Kaeko Tanigawa taking us to Daitoku-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples and Nijo castle in Kyoto. She is very nice, customer-oriented and knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history.

Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kyoto Private Tour
Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April! She reached out well before our trip to get to know our interests and carefully planned an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us—even helping us choose the perfect lunch spot.
