What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tour of Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a group visiting from North America to Osaka Castle, Shitennoji Temple, Shinsekai, and Dotonbori. Originally we had planned to visit the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living, but because of the rainy weather, we decided to start with Osaka Castle first. Since that made Shitennoji Temple a more efficient route direction, we changed the plan accordingly. It was everyone's first time in Japan, and since they started their trip from Osaka, there was a lot that was new to them and they were very impressed. It began raining quite heavily partway through, but as it was still early in their trip, they remained in good spirits. From Dotonbori they planned to explore on their own, so I gave them directions to Shinsaibashi, where they said they wanted to go, before we parted ways.

Dear guests,
I’m Yuko, your guide. I’m happy to guide you!
I have lived in Osaka since I was born(almost 50 years), so I’m a Osaka master!!
Osaka has a long history, so of course, we have some historical places, but the best thing of all is …… food!!
I can take you not only to the castle, shrines, temples, but also to the nice restaurants or food stands where you can enjoy Osaka’s local foods
And, Kyoto, I don’t need to say anything, but it’s the most famous place in Japan where you can know Japanese culture. Of course, I can show you around Kyoto. I have guided the guests in Kyoto many times, so you also enjoy Kyoto tour with me!
Let’s enjoy the tour with me and have an unforgettable memory!

Yuko San is one of the best tour guides we have had on our tour to Japan. We spent a good 4 hours with her in Osaka covering the Osaka Castle, the Shitennō-ji Temple, and ended with a delicious local lunch at Shinsekai.
Her knowledge about the region was very good. What set her apart was her politeness and mannerisms.
I would recommend Yuko San as a tour guide.

Yuko was great at guiding us everywhere and explaining all the different ways to buy tickets so it was affordable and most convenient for our family. They also stopped to explain facts of the areas we were in and took so many family photos for us. She always made sure we were close by her when around large crowds. Very friendly and lovely to get to know. Highly recommend this guide!

The tour was a great way to see some of the key sights in Osaka. Yuko was able to answer
all our questions and also point out a lot of local things on the way we wanted to check out
after. The ease of navigation was really appreciated.
