The itinerary covered pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 9:00, Osaka Castle at 9:40, (leave) at 11:40, Dotonbori at 12:20 and Namba Sta. at 13:00.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Higashi-Umeda to Tanimachi 4-chome by subway (240JPY); Sakuramon-cho Sta. to Babacho Sta. (200JPY); Tanimachi 4-chome to Namba (Subway) by subway (240JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 680JPY per person.
Can You Do a Private One-Day Osaka Tour Covering Osaka Castle and Dotonbori? A Licensed Guide's Report
[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Osaka for guests from Asia who had arrived at KIX the previous day and were spending their first day of travel in Japan.
The tour began with an explanation of the northern and southern areas of Osaka, followed by an introduction to Osaka Castle as a historical site and Dotonbori as a modern district.
The guests purchased a one-day subway pass, and I explained that entry to Osaka Castle did not require waiting in line and that the admission fee came with a 10% discount.
Some of the guests showed great interest in the exhibits inside the castle, especially the panels explaining the life of Hideyoshi, and studied them carefully.
I introduced a shop near Dotonbori, and the tour then concluded.
After their meal, the guests planned to return to their hotel once and then join a food tour in Shinsekai at 17:30.

Great overview of the highlights of Kyoto with an excellent guide. Just beware that the
different sites may be located at different ends of the city so you will spend time on trains.
Also, in the summer a parasol is probably a good idea as it can get hot.

We booked a full day walking tour excursion from Osaka to Kyoto from our cruise ship. Hideo Yoshida met us promptly and escorted us all day from Osaka to visit 4 of Kyotos most famous sites.
He proved to be a true Japanese gentleman, very polite , very knowledgeable and knew the train system well. We must have changed at least 10 trains and it would have been impossible to navigate this without him. Also we had our most delicious sushi and sashimi lunch in Japan in a restaurant he recommended.
Thank you Hideo for providing us a wonderful insight in Kyotos history.

We had a very good private tour with Hide Yoshi – he made a good plan for us and whisked us around Kyoto to the key sites very efficiently. He had good knowledge about the places we visited and had prepared materials and photos to show us. He really helped us to get the maximum out of our time in Kyoto and is a really nice person. Also took us for an excellent lunch! Highly recommended.
