Title: What's a Private Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sumiyoshi Taisha and Osaka Castle
The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. We first visited Sumiyoshi Taisha and discussed Japanese history, including the differences between Shinto and Buddhism, as well as the relationship between the Imperial family, Shinto, and mythology. I talked about the history of Sumiyoshi Taisha, which was founded 1,800 years ago, and its blessings, and the guests worshipped respectfully in front of each shrine. They took many photos of the sacred trees and the large stone lanterns. Everyone searched for the "Godairiki" power stones together, and they were delighted to find them. In Tennoji, they were deeply moved to see the "bone Buddha" at Isshin-ji Temple. They also got a sense of the battle at Sonmudo, which houses materials related to the Summer Siege of Osaka, before we moved on to Osaka Castle. At Osaka Castle, they were impressed by the outer defensive structure surrounded by the outer moat and by the main tower.

We had a wonderful tour around Osaka. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about the places we visited. He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The length of the tour was just right for us—especially on such a hot day—and we still managed to find time to take some great photos.
