From there the group visited pick you up at the Tenpozan Terminal of Osaka at 10:00, Osaka Castle at 10:40, (leave) at 12:40, Dotonbori at 13:10, (leave) at 13:50 and the port of Osaka at 14:10.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Osaka Port to Tanimachi 4-chome by subway (290JPY); Tanimachi 4-chome to Namba by subway (240JPY); Namba to Osaka Port by subway (290JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 820JPY per person.
Title: What's a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report from Osaka Castle to Dotonbori
The guests were a group visiting from North America, some of whom had Asian roots. Several members of the group preferred to use elevators whenever possible, and while we used them as much as we could, some areas only had stairs, which made parts of the tour a little challenging. After sightseeing at Osaka Castle, the group looked a little tired, so we took a break of about 15 minutes at the "Mirai-za" facility, where some of the guests had a light snack. It rained during the tour that day, so unfortunately we were unable to take a group photo. At Dotonbori, the guests mentioned that they would like to return to Dotonbori again for dinner, and were especially interested in trying Kobe beef, so I recommended a restaurant. I let them know that they could reserve a table by calling in advance, and gave them the restaurant's business card. Back at Osaka Port Station, I handed them a map of Osaka, explained the subway transfer procedure, and the tour came to an end.

Great overview of the highlights of Kyoto with an excellent guide. Just beware that the
different sites may be located at different ends of the city so you will spend time on trains.
Also, in the summer a parasol is probably a good idea as it can get hot.

We booked a full day walking tour excursion from Osaka to Kyoto from our cruise ship. Hideo Yoshida met us promptly and escorted us all day from Osaka to visit 4 of Kyotos most famous sites.
He proved to be a true Japanese gentleman, very polite , very knowledgeable and knew the train system well. We must have changed at least 10 trains and it would have been impossible to navigate this without him. Also we had our most delicious sushi and sashimi lunch in Japan in a restaurant he recommended.
Thank you Hideo for providing us a wonderful insight in Kyotos history.

We had a very good private tour with Hide Yoshi – he made a good plan for us and whisked us around Kyoto to the key sites very efficiently. He had good knowledge about the places we visited and had prepared materials and photos to show us. He really helped us to get the maximum out of our time in Kyoto and is a really nice person. Also took us for an excellent lunch! Highly recommended.
