The guests were visitors from Europe, and this was their first trip to Japan, with Osaka being the final destination of their journey. At Osaka Castle Park, they took many photos, feeling the sense of history in the vast outer moat structure, the castle walls, and the turrets. In the museum inside the main keep, they remarked that the way Toyotomi Hideyoshi rose from his upbringing and became consumed by power in his later years resembled European rulers. At the Osaka Museum of History, the history of Osaka from ancient times to the present was presented in an easy-to-understand way, and they toured it with great enthusiasm. They were especially surprised that the Naniwa Palace site was located right next to it. At Dotonbori, they recalled the model of Edo-period Dotonbori they had seen at the museum, and remarked that the enduring liveliness reflected the wonderful qualities of Japanese culture.

We had a wonderful tour around Osaka. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about the places we visited. He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The length of the tour was just right for us—especially on such a hot day—and we still managed to find time to take some great photos.
