What Is a Private Tour of Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were interested in Japanese history, and they listened enthusiastically not only to stories about Okayama but also to accounts of the Sengoku period, the Edo period, and the Meiji Restoration. It was their first time visiting a Japanese castle, and they seemed very pleased. Some of the guests were very fond of the garden, and we rested and chatted for quite a while at Ryuten. They also went inside the castle and looked very attentively at the armor, calligraphy, folding screens, and Japanese swords. They asked various questions, such as the role of the castle and why the garden was created. Overall, although it was hot, they appeared to have a wonderful time.
