From there the group visited Tobu Nikko Station at 11:00, Kegon Falls at 11:50, Yamadaya (Nikko carving) at 12:00, Nikko Toshogu Shrine at 13:45, Rinnoji Sanbutsudo at 15:10, Tamozawa Memorial Park at 15:50 and Tobu Nikko Station at 16:45.

The guests were visitors from North America. Some of the group had visited Nikko several times before, while it was a first visit for others. Although the forecast up until the previous day had suggested a chance of rain in the afternoon, the weather improved, and at Lake Chuzenji we were able to take commemorative photos at the best possible timing on the day. Since the group had expressed a wish to stop by a traditional craft shop, we visited a craft store, where they enjoyed a conversation with the shopkeeper. A taxi was arranged for the entire itinerary. As the group had visited Japan many times, they moved through the other stops fairly quickly and seemed keen to head to the inn to relax in the hot spring, so we finished a little earlier than scheduled.

Excellent day with Yoko as our guide. We were able to cover a lot of the sites in Nikko providing information and history. Yoko guided us at a nice pace to allow us explore the sites and answer our questions. We also had lots of general conversations with Yoko during the day. Highly recommended tour of beautiful and historic Nikko!

Yoko was an amazing guide really fun to talk and knows a lot of local history she didn’t speak Spanish but that wasn’t a problem for us

Full Day trip from Tokyo- our guide, Yoko, gave excellent explanations on the difference between Shinto and Buddhist religions and their co-existence. Nikko is a Beautiful environment (even in winter), the structures were stunning. Yoko took us to a delicious restaurant- Taikō-bo. Quintessential japanese restaurant with local cuisine.
