The guests were visitors from Europe. Although it was a cold day with occasional snowfall, I think they were able to relax in the nature of Nikko after having toured around Tokyo. I taught them some Japanese greetings, and they listened with great interest to explanations about Japanese history. At the lunch restaurant, they enjoyed the atmosphere of the Japanese-style low tables and tatami room. Since they had not secured their return train, I helped them purchase limited express tickets at the station at the end, and we then parted ways.

Excellent day with Yoko as our guide. We were able to cover a lot of the sites in Nikko providing information and history. Yoko guided us at a nice pace to allow us explore the sites and answer our questions. We also had lots of general conversations with Yoko during the day. Highly recommended tour of beautiful and historic Nikko!

Full Day trip from Tokyo- our guide, Yoko, gave excellent explanations on the difference between Shinto and Buddhist religions and their co-existence. Nikko is a Beautiful environment (even in winter), the structures were stunning. Yoko took us to a delicious restaurant- Taikō-bo. Quintessential japanese restaurant with local cuisine.
