Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Tochigi began at 12:05, when the guide met the guests at Utagahama Parking, and finished at 17:12. The day ran to 5 hours and 7 minutes from start to finish. It included lunch @ Bonten at 12:30.
From there the group visited Tobu Nikko Station at 10:20, Kegon Falls at 11:00, Lake Chuzenji G7 Nikko Sign at 11:50, Toshogu Shrine at 14:00, Kanmangafuchi Abyss at 16:20 and Shinkyo Bridge at 16:50.

The guests were a group visiting from North America. Throughout the tour there were strong winds as forecast, but the weather itself improved more than expected, and one of the guests was delighted to see snow for the first time. At Kegon Falls, the lowest observation deck accessible by elevator was closed due to freezing conditions.
Since a vehicle was included for four hours, for lunch the group chose to return to the area near the station for ramen. We got out of the car at Toshogu Shrine and took a full tour up to the inner shrine, then walked on to Kanmangafuchi Abyss before parting ways at Tobu-Nikko Station.

Excellent day with Yoko as our guide. We were able to cover a lot of the sites in Nikko providing information and history. Yoko guided us at a nice pace to allow us explore the sites and answer our questions. We also had lots of general conversations with Yoko during the day. Highly recommended tour of beautiful and historic Nikko!

Full Day trip from Tokyo- our guide, Yoko, gave excellent explanations on the difference between Shinto and Buddhist religions and their co-existence. Nikko is a Beautiful environment (even in winter), the structures were stunning. Yoko took us to a delicious restaurant- Taikō-bo. Quintessential japanese restaurant with local cuisine.
