Can You Take a Private Cruise Shore Excursion from Niigata East Port? A Licensed Guide's Report
Once again, I accepted this assignment departing from Tokyo. Because the port of call was Niigata East Port, and because it took some time before the reservation for a private vehicle could be finalized even after I explained that booking a private vehicle would greatly improve convenience, I consulted with [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) many times. Thank you very much for your support.
Niigata East Port is located far from the city center and is distant from any railway station, so even guides based in Niigata would likely face significant disadvantages in terms of transportation costs when taking on work at the East Port. Many guides based in Niigata are probably shifting to cruise bus guide roles at other companies where transportation costs are covered.
The guests, regardless of these circumstances, look forward to enjoying their experience in "Niigata," so I sincerely hope that private tours will not be declined due to a shortage of guides. To that end, I would be grateful if [Japan Guide Agency](https://www.j-g-a.org/) would continue to consider providing transportation cost coverage from central Niigata to the East Port, as well as recruiting guides from outside Niigata Prefecture and subsidizing their transportation costs.

Hello. I’m Kayoko. I’m registered as a National Licensed Guide Interpreter by Tokyo Metropolitan City Government.
I had been living in Yamagata City, 400 kilometers north up to Tokyo for 1 and 3 months, and now just have come back to Tokyo. I really enjoyed living in Yamagata.
My hobby is horse riding and playing some musical instruments such as piano, clarinet, euphonium and tuba.
Thanks to my riding experience, I had a special opportunity to do volunteer works at 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in the equestrian venue in Tokyo.
I am also a certified kimono instructor and can help you dress in the traditional Japanese kimono.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you.

Sado Island Experience
Tripadvisor review: Japan Guide Agency
Sado Island was a beautiful place with many attractions and sites to see. My son wanted to
experience panning for gold and my wife wanted to see the flowers at Onogame. Driver and
tour guide made you feel like family. Awesome experience!
