- ①8:00 Meet at the hotel, travel to Nara by train
- ②9:00 Nara Park
- ③9:40 Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall
- ④10:50 Todai-ji Nigatsu-do, rest at a teahouse (shaved ice)
- ⑤12:00 Kasuga Taisha
- ⑥12:50 Naramachi
- ⑦13:20 Disband at Kintetsu Nara Station
What Is a Private Guided Day Tour of Nara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group from Europe visiting Japan for the first time. During their overall stay, they had already explored Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo on their own. On this day, near the end of their time in Japan, they enjoyed a guided tour of Nara. Since the guests were fond of deer, they had requested Nara Park, Todaiji Temple, and Naramachi, so I conducted the tour with the addition of a circuit route from Nigatsudo Hall to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Although the weather was truly hot, everyone stayed energetic and enjoyed themselves, and they seemed very satisfied.

Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the are and guided us to several temples using public transportation. We stopped for a traditional Japanese lunch and saw some of the specialty wood carvings from the area.
